The DGU Data & AI Strat., Gov. & Tech area is looking to recruit a Data Scientist - ML Engineer.

What you will do:

Data Scientist and/or ML Engineer for EDP's internal strategic projects in various business areas.

  • Understand the context of the projects in terms of products, processes and ways-of-working;
  • Design different approaches to the Data Science challenges in question;
  • Interpreting model results and explaining in business language the choices made and the potential impact of the models adopted;
  • Develop and implement Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models to solve complex problems;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate Data Science solutions into business processes;
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of models in production;
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in terms of techniques as well as available technologies;
  • Documenting processes and results in a clear and accessible way for different stakeholders.

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data engineering, Computer engineering, Data science and advanced analytics, Information management or a related field;
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience in:
    • Designing Data Science projects, analyzing different approaches and implementing them;
    • Working in multi-disciplinary teams related to Data Science projects;
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role involves explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
