Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist who would form a part of the Operation Research Team that acts as the corporate enablers for data-driven decision-making processes. The processes often demand the provision of timely, accurate, and actionable business intelligence.
The work involves dealing with large volumes of heterogeneous data generated by the highly complex business contexts of airlines, often defined in real-time, and relies on the use of sophisticated machine-learning algorithms to arrive at/provide predictive tools, utilization of Optimisation techniques and algorithms; that consequently gets embedded in the relevant computer based decision tools of AAB business units.
As a Data Scientist you will:

You will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:
Data sourcing, ETL, ensuring data integrity and data handling.
Learn and understand a broad range of AAB’s data resources and efficiently deploy them for predictive purposes.
Interface with business customers to gather their requirements.
Design, develop and maintain business metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
Use machine learning, model building, optimization techniques and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer knowledge, increase operational efficiencies to drive the business decision processes.
Respond to high priority request from senior management.
Continually improve the data science stack.
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s/or Higher degree in Operation Research, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Math, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline
Experience with Python, or other statistical/machine learning packages
Open for Fresh Graduates or 1+ years of relevant experience with building statistical models, Operation Research and Machine Learning
Demonstrated ability to frame analytical problems and extract insights that led to tangible business results
Preferred Additional skills
Intelligent Systems Engineering
Knowledge of advanced statistical and OR techniques with applications development
Experience in Large-Scale/Complex Optimization Problems (Resource Scheduling/Planning, Transportation, Supply/Demand Chain Planning and Forecasting, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, Telecommunication, Network Design, Engineering Design Optimization, etc.)
Familiar with Linear/Non-Linear Programming, Mixed-Integer Programming and Constraint Programming
Familiar with Heuristics, Metaheuristics (Simulated Annealing, Particle Swarm Optimization, Tabu search …), Large neighborhood search techniques, Multi Agent System and other appropriate OR methodologies.
Familiar with Cplex, Gurobi, Google OR-Tools, Xpress or similar.
