Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking a Data Scientist to provide design, implementation and administration to a Geographic Information System (GIS) mission platform.  This role is a senior-level individual contributor to the data science team.  The team provides insight and innovation to advance the Sponsor’s capabilities to interrogate and analyze geospatial data.  We perform on the leading edge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics in support of the IC mission. 

Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly

Location/Flexibility: McLean, VA 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop code to perform complex modeling to detect and characterize objects (using python, tensorflow, pytorch and related software packages) and enhance an evolving analytic tradecraft.
• Integrate data from a variety of sources, formats and disciplines into coherent databases, train foundation models, fine-tune models to address real intelligence questions, and write compelling documentation and reports for decision makers.
• Conceptual, quantitative, organizational, research, writing, verbal communication and graphical representation skills.
• Sound judgment, creative problem solving, and independent working skills.
• Sound interpersonal and teamwork skills to work with individuals and organizations, to include varying levels and types (Government, industry, and academia).
• Facilitation skills to bring diverse groups together on issues and reach consensus across stakeholders.
• The ability to perform complex analyses and to communicate its results using accurate, concise, and effective writing and through descriptive and graphical representations.
• Technical understanding of the systems supporting aspects of the functional areas.
• Knowledge of standard tools [e.g., the Sponsor’s various computing networks, Microsoft Office Products], as appropriate; and a demonstrated ability to learn to use and support other tools that may be added or developed as the program evolves.
• Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and in adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized.

Qualifications:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science, mathematics, statistics etc)
• Python expertise
• Data Science experience
• Machine Learning/Computer Vision/Object Detection

Preferred Skills/Qualifications Include:

• Prior experience with Pytorch, keras and overhead imagery would be beneficial but not a requirement

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
