Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Data Scientist with expertise in Entity Resolution who can leverage experience and expertise in data exploration, and engineering, to explore, architect, develop, and deploy application for processing structured and unstructured data into usable data formats for long term storage, search, and analysis. The right candidate will be part of developing cutting edge Entity Resolution applications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD (additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree)
• Eight (8) years of experience with languages such as Java, Scala or Python, used in support of development and production operations
• Experience with Bayesian Statistics 
• Experience in data management processing:
  • Data analysis, normalization, transliteration 
  • Statistical methods such as Latent Semantic Hashing and Gibbs Sampling 
  • Knowledge of graph analytics is a plus
• Experience with AWS
• A current/active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.

  Desired Qualifications: 

• Be able to differentiate what is Deduplication, Canonicalisation and Record Lineage
• Knowledge of language translation experience
• Understand importance graph algorithms such as connected components 
• Experience with search tools - Solr or Elastic Search
• Knowledge of distributed computing is a must - Apache Spark stack
• Have worked in an Agile environment. 
• You have worked on teams that practice Agile methodologies.
