Data Scientist (Content, Data Science Team) The Content Platform plays a key role in the eMAG eco-system as it is responsible for all the content and structure of the eMAG product catalog. This means developing tools and applications that allow for the gathering, storing, structuring and processing of all the data required for a product to be on sale on the eMAG platform (title, description, photo gallery, specifications, filters, unique identifiers etc.) As a Senior Data Scientist in the Platforms & Technology division, Content Automation team at eMAG, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing AI and machine learning models that enhance our content automation processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Product Management, and Development, to deliver solutions that improve content generation, classification, and personalization. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. What you’ll have to do: Develop and Deploy ML Models: Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models to automate content processes, including text classification, recommendation systems, and personalization algorithms. Data Analysis and Modeling: Perform in-depth statistical analysis and data modeling to extract insights from large datasets, ensuring high accuracy and relevance of content automation systems. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management and Development teams to integrate AI solutions into the content platform, ensuring scalability and performance. MLOps Practices: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models, including versioning, deployment, monitoring, and optimization in production environments. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in AI/ML, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve existing models and processes. How we’d like you to be: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on machine learning and AI. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling. Expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques. Experience with SQL for data manipulation and querying. Familiarity with MLOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow for model deployment and management. Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business value. Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Will be a plus: Domain Expertise: Understanding of e-commerce and content management systems. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning. Natural Language Processing (NLP): Expertise in developing models for text-based data. Reinforcement Learning: Experience with reinforcement learning algorithms and their application in real-world scenarios.
