Job Description

The role involves conducting bioinformatics data analysis to support therapeutic program decisions. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the team's ability to utilize large-scale biological data and drive scientific innovations.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in scientific, computational, and statistical disciplines, coupled with a focus on delivering impactful results. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, proficiency in conducting independent research, and enthusiasm for collaborating within a cross-functional team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Biomarker data analysis: Work with biomarker team to generate hypotheses and analyze biomarker data.
  • Drug target discovery: Develop analytical practices to support early target identification and evaluation.
  • Omics data curation and ingestion: Identify and internalize public omics datasets relevant to our diseases of interest. Organize and ingest omics datasets to enhance the team's ability to mine data for scientific purposes.
  • Communicate scientific results, conclusions, and recommendations clearly.
  • Proactively communicate project activities and progress with key stakeholders and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 (MS) or 0-1 years (PhD) post-graduate experience in drug discovery and translational research.
  • Proficiency in analyzing bulk and single cell transcriptomics, proteomics, and other -omics data.
  • Experience with Python, R, and SQL databases.
  • Background or research experience in Neuroscience is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic about solving problems in drug R&D.
