Business-Oriented Data Scientist

About the Role:

We are searching for a highly motivated data scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage your business acumen and data analysis skills to extract meaningful insights from various data sources. You will then translate these insights into actionable recommendations that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into data-driven questions.
• Design and execute data collection strategies from internal and external sources.
• Clean, prepare, and analyze large datasets using statistical methods and data visualization tools.
• Develop and implement data-driven models to solve business problems and predict future trends.
• Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, concise, and non-technical manner to business audiences.
• Track and measure the impact of data-driven recommendations on key business metrics.
• Stay current on the latest data science trends and technologies relevant to the industry.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience applying data science techniques to solve business problems.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Proficiency in data wrangling, cleaning, and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Python).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor explanations to non-technical audiences.
• Business acumen and a strong understanding of core business principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for using data to drive business results.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience working in a specific industry relevant to our company.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing data-driven solutions.
