Your Role
As a Data Scientist at Affinity Petcare, you will drive our advanced analytics and modeling strategy in Market, Consumer, Media, Pricing, and Promo Intelligence. Your insights will support different business areas by enhancing decision-making and optimizing performance.

What you will do
Design and implement descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to analyze and improve consumer, market & media, promo and pricing performance:
● Market Sizing & Forecasting
● Media Mix Modeling & Attribution
● CRM & Consumer Behavior Analysis (churn prediction, segmentation, scoring models, etc.)
● Promo & Pricing Optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn data into business decisions:
● Work closely with Sales and Marketing Directors, Brand & Media Managers, and Consumer Research teams to define business cases.
● Partner with the CRM team to enhance customer segmentation and engagement strategies
● Align methodologies and insights with our media agency to optimize campaign performance.
● Apply machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to develop new customer segmentation criteria and improve business strategies.
What we are looking for
Hard Skills
● Deep experience in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), from model development to actionable recommendations ideally more than 5 years of experience.
● Strong knowledge of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and media effectiveness.
● Degree or strong background in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related fields.
● Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environments.
● Proficiency in machine learning, econometrics, and causal inference models.
Soft Skills
● Strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
● Ability to collaborate across teams and influence decision-making.
● Results-driven mindset with a passion for data-driven transformation.
● Project management experience in data and analytics initiatives.
● Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus.
