Our client, an innovative AI-focused company, is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to contribute to their advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. This role focuses on data cleaning, preparation, and building predictive models using classic machine learning techniques. Location: Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM PST
Data Preparation and Cleaning: Clean, structure, and prepare tabular data for analysis, including removing rows with empty values, performing feature engineering, and creating new features.
Predictive Analytics: Build and optimize predictive models using classic machine learning techniques.
Programming and Libraries: Use Python and libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib/Plotly, and SHAP for data analysis and visualization.
API Integration: Read API documentation and programmatically retrieve data using REST APIs (e.g., Python requests library).
SQL Expertise: Utilize advanced SQL concepts (e.g., Join, Group By) for data manipulation and transformation.
Code Versioning: Manage code versioning using Git and GitHub.
Code Deployment: Work with Docker for code deployment and scalability.
Collaborative Development: Utilize Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, or equivalent for coding and data exploration.
Prepared Data: Clean and well-structured datasets ready for analysis and machine learning workflows.
High-Performance Models: Predictive models that deliver actionable insights and align with business objectives.
Efficient Data Transformation: Accurate and efficient manipulation of tabular data to create meaningful features and improve model performance.
Seamless Integration: Effective retrieval and manipulation of data through REST APIs, ensuring streamlined workflows.
Collaborative Workflow: Smooth collaboration through proper code versioning and deployment practices.
Experience
3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
Prior experience in AI and machine learning is highly preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib/Plotly, and SHAP.
Strong understanding of predictive analytics and classic machine learning techniques.
Advanced SQL knowledge, including concepts like Join and Group By.
Experience with Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, or equivalent code editors.
Ability to work with REST APIs and manipulate data programmatically.
Familiarity with Git and GitHub for code versioning.
Experience with Docker for deploying code.
