Amongst the solutions provided, the data team works to structure and explore  data catalogue delivering on standard reports in the form of interactive dashboards with data visualisations allowing for drilling-down on the data reported, while also servicing ad hoc requests and questions. Past data solutions developed under a variety of tools and technologies such as SAP Business Objects, STATA, Tableau, Kibana and many other, though currently nearly all new work is being developed with Power BI. The solution assignment may change over time, according to the portfolio/project/service needs

• Coordination and review of policy units’ business needs;
  Definition of solutions proposed for servicing policy units’ business needs
  Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers;
  Carry out ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks;
  Creating, designing and developing data models;
  Analyse large datasets and propose approaches for optimisation of reporting;
  Assessment and quality control of data;
  Preparation of statistical analysis of data for use by policy officers and other stakeholders;
  Management and processing of data;
  Reporting of key indicators for different policy fields on the basis of data sets available;
  Development and maintenance of interactive dashboards in Power BI;
  Assistance with data management aspects of IT projects 

Requirements

Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

• Excellent knowledge of Data Analytics techniques and tools.
• Good knowledge of Power BI (including Power Query).

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
• Languages like Visual Basic, SQL, ….
• Other business intelligence tools (SAP Business Objects, QlikSense, SAS…).
• ETL processes and tools (i.e. Azure Data Factory…).

Knowledge of SQL tooling (NoSQL DB, MongoDB, Hadoop, SQL).

Knowledge of architectural design and implementation of scalable modern data stores.

Knowledge in one of the following areas:

• predictive (forecasting, recommendation),
• prescriptive (simulation),
• sentiment analysis,
• topic detection,
• social media crawling and processing
• trends/anomalies detection in datasets,
• recommendation systems.
