About the role 

Our Hybrid Intelligence team at Capgemini Engineering is responsible for intelligently applying data science and machine learning technologies to deliver innovative and multidisciplinary solutions to our clients. As part of the team you will work on a wide variety of innovative projects that make a difference for the different industries we work, such as: Aerospace, Automotive, Pharma, Engineering, Industrial, Oil & Gas, among others.  

In this rol you will lead a team of Data Scientists and Engineers to solve interesting, real-world problems that truly make a difference. Supported by our global knowledge base and network of skilled practitioners, and assisted by ongoing professional development and training, you will be a visible face of our technical solutions within Spain.

What are we looking for?

• Phd. Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics or related field.
• At least 5 years as Senior Data Scientist and leading teams.
• Excellent programming skills (essential) R, Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scikit-learn), experience in object-oriented programming and pySpark.
• Experience in natural language processing (NLP) and knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience carrying out projects involving Machine Learning algorithms, ideally in a cloud environment with distributed computing.
• Strong background in statistics and probability theory for hypothesis testing, regression analysis and experimental design.
• Data handling skills, including cleaning, pre-processing and transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis and modelling.
• Experience developing mathematical models and predictive algorithms (optimisation, supervised and unsupervised models, clustering, neural networks...), Deep Learning, MLOPs will be an asset. 
• Fluency in English and Spanish (C1) and strong communication skills
