Your Team, Your Impact

As a Data Science/Computer Science Intern, you will be part of our AI development team, contributing to the design, implementation, and optimization of AI systems and frameworks. You will have the opportunity to work on various stages of the development lifecycle, from prototyping to deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative AI solutions to life. You will be involved in both theoretical research and practical development, helping to bridge the gap between research and real-world AI solutions. This role will challenge you to apply your knowledge in machine learning, data science, and software engineering to create impactful technologies that solve complex problems and improve business outcomes.

What You Can Expect

  • Assist in the design/architecture and development of AI applications, models and frameworks for real-world applications.
  • Conduct research and experiments on new AI algorithms, models, and architectures.
  • Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms and workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations for novel AI frameworks.
  • Analyze and benchmark the performance of existing AI models and propose
    enhancements.
  • Assist in the integration of new AI systems into larger platforms and applications.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to create end-to-end data pipelines and model deployment strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and apply them to ongoing projects

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Prior exposure to data analysis, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with AI/ML projects, particularly in a development setting.
  • Familiarity with advanced topics such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, or natural language processing.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in optimizing machine learning models for deployment and scalability.
  • Experience with research tools and libraries (e.g., SciPy, Keras, Hugging Face Transformers)

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

22 - 45, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model in which you will be able to split time between working from home and on-site in a Marvell office.
