What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another quantitative field. 
  • 3+ years of experience performing analytic work in Financial Services, consumer credit, or a related industry
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills; tireless attention to detail
  • A keen interest in analyzing existing processes and procedures and devising and implementing plans to improve efficiency and reduce risks via solutions such as automation and controls
  • High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI), and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively

We'd Love to See:

  • Master's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field
  • Familiarity with credit bureau data and business practices
  • Experience with model risk management or an interest and capability to learn model risk governance and controls
  • Experience serving as a model governance subject matter expert
  • Ability to operate independently in a complex and dynamic, matrixed environment

Impact You'll Make:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of model risk management policies, procedures, and guides establishing and reinforcing the model risk management framework.
  • Collect and maintain all supporting model documentation from model developers for validation.
  • Respond to documentation requests from client, regulators or internal auditors, including the delivery of appropriate TransUnion documentation and the completion of client-specific documentation while balancing the protection of TransUnion’s intellectual property.
  • Collaborate with model developers and other stakeholders (e.g., Legal and Compliance) to streamline the model governance process including the creation of relevant templates and standard documentation verbiage.
  • Maintain the model inventory including recommending and implementing enhancements as appropriate.
  • Create and manage the annual model validation plan and ensure timely completion.
  • Develop, maintain, and present model risk management training materials to key stakeholders.
  • Foster a high performance culture and cultivate an environment that promotes excellence and reflects the TransUnion brand.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $131,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
