We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Data Engineering/AI/ML Leader. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data engineering projects and AI/ML initiatives, ensuring that our data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and capable of supporting our business goals. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive innovation and operational excellence in our data-driven processes.

Data Engineering

· Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration across various platforms.

· Develop and implement scalable data architectures and solutions that support the company's analytics and business intelligence needs.

· Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and monitoring mechanisms.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Establish reliable enterprise-wide data dictionaries. 

· Optimize data storage solutions for performance and cost-efficiency.

AI/ML Development

· Spearhead the development and deployment of AI/ML models to improve underwriting, claims processing, fraud detection, and customer experience.

· Identify and explore new AI/ML use cases and opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives.

· Ensure the scalability and maintainability of AI/ML solutions through continuous monitoring and optimization.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and integrate them into the company's operations where applicable.

Leadership and Collaboration

· Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

· Establish and communicate a clear data strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

· Collaborate with executive leadership to identify key data-driven initiatives and provide insights that drive business decisions.

· Ensure effective communication and collaboration between data engineering, IT, and business units.

· Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and forums to showcase our data capabilities and innovations.

Requirements

· Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering, AI/ML, or related roles, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.

· Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java.

· Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

· Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing solutions.

· Proven track record of designing and implementing AI/ML models and algorithms.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

· Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
