Work type: Permanent full time
Classification: Band 7 ($100,064 - $110,990 pa plus super)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to a range of activities in AI & automation development to develop and implement solutions in line with department strategy and plans. 
  • Leverage Azure AI Services APIs, including Azure AI Search, Azure Document Intelligence, and Azure OpenAI Services, for data modelling and developing AI solutions.
  • Contribute to building effective relationships with other staff, customers and various subject matter experts across the City.
  • Train and actively support others in the team by sharing knowledge to achieve common development goals.
  • Execute, monitor, and report on work progress against plans and budgets to ensure timely delivery in line with the relevant regulations and policies.
  • Support routine problem-solving and continuous improvement activities by identifying and addressing gaps and inefficiencies to minimise financial waste. 

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field and or significant professional experience in a comparable organisation at least 3 years.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or C#.
  • Experience using model deployment frameworks.
  • Experience training machine learning models using various datasets.
  • Experience with tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn or Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit (CNTK) is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Powerplatform is desirable.
  • Current Working with Children Check (employee).
  • Current Victorian Drivers licence.
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
