The Boeing Enterprise Artificial Intelligence & Data team is seeking a Data & Artificial Intelligence Governance Senior Manager in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Mesa, AZ; or Ridley Park, PA; or Plano, TX. The role is responsible for the overall data product lifecycle and product roadmap while aligning it with Boeing’s objectives to enable compliance and business value across the enterprise.

This manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to embed data and AI governance across product lifecycle from conception to launch, driving adoption of new data driven products. The role will engage directly with the business users and stakeholders across Boeing and will be accountable for driving data, digital thread and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications enabling global data classification and data access, unlocking business value.

Additional responsibilities for this role include defining enterprise-wide data and AI needs, identifying and prioritizing business needs, de-risking product development, monitoring data product performance, data maturity and managing product development teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end data product development, from inception to production and maintenance, improves a data product through iterative sprints to fulfil vision and end user needs by incorporating feedback from end users

  • Translate customer needs into well-defined user stories, enabling pod-based software developers to build solutions

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data product plans and roadmaps, ensuring that features are delivered on time and within scope, unlocking business value

  • Drive Data and AI adoption across product development

  • Manage the product budget and profit and loss (P&L)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the data product strategy and roadmap are aligned to the division strategy and objectives and key results (OKRs)

  • Establish a result-oriented, strong execution team and operating rhythm for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment of products

  • Establish maturity measurement across the data and AI product development life cycle for clarity in progress and business value delivered 

  • Develop end to end knowledge base across the data product life cycle to build an impactful story beyond project execution for stakeholders at both working and leadership levels

  • Mentor, develop and evaluate product development teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):         

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience working within a global development team

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA)

  • 5+ years of experience in product management related to data, analytics and/or artificial intelligence

  • 5+ years of experience in road mapping, story lining and delivering a data product based on end user research

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change

  • Willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time, both internationally and domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology

  • Experience with navigating through ambiguities and building a highly effective, strong execution team for the overall product success

  • Experience with agile implementation and CI/CD

  • Experience in developing strategy and implementation of digital thread concept in industrial domain

  • Experience defining and implementing digital thread technologies in an industrial domain

  • Experience building and leading technical teams in data, digital and analytics within industrial domain

  • Experience interfacing between business and technical domains

  • Experience influencing at all levels of the organization

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $151,300 – $218,500
