Your roles as a Microsoft Technology Sales Specialists  is to win the technical decision of customers and enable customers to use our technology. The Technology Sales Specialist is expected to be able to both own and win customers’ technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and engagements for sales specialists to pursue. As a Technology Sales Specialist, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies.  

We are seeking a Data & AI Technical Sales Specialist to join our team

Responsibilities

  • Own technical discussions in Data & AI with customers leveraging processes and tools, demos, and programs using consultative sales methodology and technical expertise to influence the customer vision; establish rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams.
  • Build technical strategy: map the agreed customer vision into a strategy, resolve concerns, preventing and removing technical blockers, and validating a strong business case for investment and translate technology complexity into business impact.  Work with the customer, account team, and partners to orchestrate a roadmap for implementation guiding the customer to the best Microsoft Analytics platform and AI design for their needs. 
  • Design the solution using your AI technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills and our methodology to win a customer’s technical decision and meet the customer’s needs; drive proof of concepts (POCs)/Pilots to create momentum for MVPs, infusing key AI technologies where appropriate and being technically proficient to do POC with hands-on-skills.
  • Cross collaboration across AI, and Apps Innovation team to drive AI Solutions and support the customer AI transformation inclusive of AI Applications and data foundation. Support the creation of new pipeline in collaboration with the Specialist and account team by identifying new opportunities within customerengagement and hand off to the Solution Specialist for pursuit.
  • Be the Trusted advisor and use proactive effort to find and understand customers’ pain points and work with partners to design and offer solutions (with business case) to technical leaders by being a Microsoft AI and Analytics platform evangelist inclusive of new AI and Analytics projects plus real-time analytics, and end to end Data, Analytics and AI solutions.
  • Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices with Global Black Belt and Engineering, to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.
  • Maintain and grow expertise in AI technologies (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services, and Azure ML and Model Catalog) and relevant Analytics, Data warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI scenarios including Intelligent Data and Analytics Platform (Azure SQL DW, Lakehouse architecture, Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI) while keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the Data & AI technical community. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Proven years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND a few years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND a couple years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Finnish and English- fluent

Additional or Preferred Qualifications 

  • Several years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
  • Experience and skills with Azure Data and AI services or equivalent compete experience.
  • Knowledge of the AI open-source ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Services, Azure Cognitive Search and Azure Open AI (including Speech, Vision, Translation etc.) or equivalent compete experience.
  • Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, LLM fine turning, and chaining technology (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel) expertise
  • Knowledge of large language model (LLM) and Foundational models toolsets
  • Experience with implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Competitive Data platform Landscape: Knowledge
  • Relationship Building: Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with executives. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects. The ability to influence and build relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Communicator: Demonstrates executive presence, presentation skills, deep technical product demo abilities, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative: Works cohesively with customers, internal stakeholders and partners. Helps others succeed by identifying and promoting innovative solutions and strategies.
