The Cybersecurity Intern will learn to monitor, report, and mitigate cyber threats utilizing security tools and procedures. Intern will focus on improving policies and procedures surrounding EISAI environments with a focus on Threat Intelligence, Incident Response Plans, Cloud Security, and Vulnerability Management.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team to analyze security alerts, triage potential incidents, and contribute to threat-hunting activities.

  • Assist in vulnerability management, including scanning, analyzing, and tracking vulnerabilities across cloud and on-prem environments.

  • Conduct OSINT research on industry-relevant threats, cyber news, and recent vulnerabilities, then write weekly reports summarizing key findings, including CVEs that may impact our organization.

  • Participate in incident response exercises, helping to document findings and improve response playbooks.

  • Support cloud security operations by monitoring for misconfigurations, assessing security controls, and learning how to secure cloud workloads.

  • Work on special projects as assigned, including security research, tool testing, and process improvements.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex details in a concise manner

  • Experience using Excel, Word, Email, SharePoint or OneDrive and various Presentation tools to analyze large data sets, review/update policy documents and other documents such as cybersecurity incident response plans (CSIRP)
