Overview

FedWriters is building a team to mature, operate, maintain and enhance the United States Security and Exchange Commission's (SEC) production OIT AIML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) Tech Foundation and its hosted production pilot products, implement AIML governance services, and establish model metrics evaluation and risk management frameworks. As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting AI/ML applications while ensuring seamless integration with AWS services including SageMaker, Bedrock, and other FedRAMP-authorized tools within the SEC's cloud environment.

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

Work Schedule and Location:

Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional onsite work in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure including ECS, ECR, RDS/Postgres, EMR, CloudFormation, and Service Catalog within the SEC AWS Cloud (ACES) environment
• Configure and manage AWS Application and Network Load Balancers, Cloud Map, and service discovery components
• Support Airflow/MWAA infrastructure including WebUI, Scheduler, Workers, and Redis components
• Integrate GPU EC2 Node and/or AWS Bedrock to support modeling performance and cost control
• Enhance Airflow efficiency to automate production monitoring and notification systems
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure for model deployment, model continuous monitoring, and GenAI service deployment

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in similar role within past 3 years
• Federal agency AIML experience preferred
• SEC domain experience preferred
