We are looking for a new colleague in our Application Engineering Team at Criva, a software company providing the best AI-powered visual inspection for automating the detection of complex anomalies. Our client base includes many of the most prominent brands known in the Luxury and MedTech industries.

Our fully operational product is rooted in a strong research foundation that has emerged over the past 18 months from the innovation lab of INAIT. Now Criva has been incorporated as a standalone business with dedicated funding from renowned investors. Your mission

We are looking for an experienced and impact-driven Application Engineer as an integral part of the commercial success of our product. Working closely with our customers and Criva's AI specialists, software engineers, product, marketing and sales experts, you will be at the interface of our product and the customers, supporting them throughout their projects (including scope definition and project management), deployment and support. While you will be mostly working from our customers' premises, you are always welcome to rejoin the rest of the team in our offices.

Your responsibilities

  • Integrate and maintain Criva product in our customer's application landscape and tailor it to their needs.
  • Document development processes, procedures, and application version histories for future upgrades and maintenance.
  • Provide clients with technical support as needed and relay information to our product development teams for ongoing maintenance and update needs.
  • Liaise with clients and incorporate user-defined needs and feedback into new application designs, and ultimately generate ideas for software innovation.
  • Plan and implement expansion projects for our client's software infrastructure.
  • Be part of user testing and validation of our product during release cycles.
  • Provide technical support and expertise by handling pilots, POC and various tests in close collaboration with resellers and/or customers.
  • Contribute to sales presentations, as well as demonstrating prototypes and completed applications.
  • Make sales recommendations and reassess the needs of clients by looking at their current software and hardware inventory and determining where improvements can be made.
  • May write some code/scripts to integrate our solution into the planned, new or existing technical infrastructure of our customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, engineering, or similar.
  • >3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining software at customers’.
  • Deep understanding of hardware technical specifications.
  • Able to translate tech jargon into meaningful, relatable terms that make sense for clients.
  • Detail-oriented work ethic to ensure full end-to-end functionality of the application.
  • Experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Comfortable with commonly used coding languages (e.g., C++ and/or Python).
  • Experience with industrial vision systems and collaborative robots is a plus.
  • Experience in sales or customer services is a plus.
  • Proficiency (verbal and written) in German, English and French.
  • Driving license holder (cat. B car).

Special working conditions

  • Ability and willingness to travel, mostly day-trips (on average 25%, up to 80% in some weeks).
  • Our office is currently in Renens (Lausanne area), in Zürich in the near future.
