Job Description
We are urgently seeking an AI/NLP/ML Expert to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.
The candidate will work on cutting-edge projects focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), and data analytics architecture while collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams in an agile environment.

Responsibilities
- Collect business requirements and analyze advanced AI solutions or assess existing ML, data mining, and business intelligence tools.
- Design and specify user-friendly, optimal presentation interfaces to enhance usability and user experience.
- Create data models that address specific problem statements effectively.
- Contribute to and implement analytics architecture and solution stack, addressing performance, physical design, and capacity dimensions.
- Write clear, structured documentation and collaborate with other project teams to resolve cross-project dependencies.
- Work with data stewards and IT stakeholders to define data rules, quality controls, and integrity checks.
- Build automated anomaly detection systems and monitor their performance.
- Conduct data mining using state-of-the-art methods while processing, cleansing, and verifying data integrity.
- Design and analyze IT architectures for NLP, ML, and AI solutions, ensuring consistency and alignment with master/meta-data management principles.
- Evaluate data architecture for accuracy, consistency, and reasonableness.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Education:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Skills and Experience:
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Strong understanding of lifecycle management and proficiency in NLP techniques and systems.
- ML/AI Expertise: Extensive experience with machine learning techniques (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Networks, etc.), large language models, and predictive/prescriptive analytics.
- Corpus-Based Linguistics: Hands-on experience with alignment models and classification methods.
- Data Analytics: Expertise in analyzing large datasets, including data lakes and unstructured/non-structured databases.
- Modelling: Proficiency in tools and techniques such as BPMN, UML, and entity-relationship diagrams.
Tools and Technologies:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and PERL.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL (NoSQL DB, MongoDB, Hadoop, SQL).
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, SAS, SAP, GoodData).
- Experience with ETL processes and tools such as Talend Open Studio or SAS.
- Tools for big data analytics and building scalable data stores.
- Knowledge of Graph Databases for specific solution designs.
Architectural Skills:
- Expertise in designing scalable architectures and implementing modern data stores.
- Knowledge of recommendation systems, trends/anomalies detection, plagiarism detection, sentiment analysis, topic detection, and social media processing.
Agile Approach:
- Strong understanding of Agile development.
- Cross-functional collaboration with teams using Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
Desirable Knowledge:
- Familiarity with architectural design principles for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
- Advanced experience with Large Language Models and graph-based systems.
