Description


As an ML Ops Engineer at Apple, you will utilize our advanced tools and processes to deliver high-quality datasets for next-generation ML algorithms, creating exceptional user experiences. You will translate ML-driven experiences into clear, actionable processes that consider hardware, firmware, and software requirements. Your role will involve building data pipelines with an ML-first perspective, developing systems to monitor and ensure data quality, and scaling these systems effectively. Additionally, you will present your solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The solutions you develop will have a significant impact on future Apple products and the broader ML development ecosystem. Some other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Partner with multidisciplinary teams, including researchers, engineers, designers, legal, and data experts, to lead innovative data collection projects with a focus on privacy Oversee the creation of intricate user studies that support both research aims and product objectives Innovate and implement new operational strategies and practices Evaluate and enhance existing metrics and protocols to boost data quality and efficiency Quickly adapt to new and emerging hardware and software technologies Play a key role in creating groundbreaking products that improve user experiences Manage multiple active projects involving both emerging and established technologies Thrive in a collaborative and dynamic setting with opportunities for growth

Minimum Qualifications


  • Holds a B.S./M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • Possess over 5 years of experience in taking products from concept to large-scale production
  • Skilled in rapid prototyping and familiar with Design of Experiments (DOEs)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset in addressing challenges
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced degree (Ph.D./MBA)
  • Deep passion for the intersection of HW+ML and pioneering innovative technologies
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Swift programming languages
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Experience in crafting and delivering clear, audience-tailored communications
  • Inquisitive mindset with a talent for simplifying complex concepts into actionable insights


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
