AI Systems DevOps Engineer

You’ll work closely with your customers to understand their questions and needs, then collaborate with subject matter experts and an elite group of fellow engineers to deliver impactful solutions to the customer. You’ll identify the right combination of tools and frameworks, develop MLOps pipelines, and deliver robust ML applications that turn complex datasets into objective answers to help our military leaders make informed decisions in operational environments.

You Have:  

  • 3+ years of experience in AI systems or software engineering for ML capabilities or applications, including turning requirements into implementation and evaluating architectural tradeoffs
  • 3+ years of experience in programming, including Python, Java, C, or C++ 
  • 2+ years of experience in containerization and container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes
  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Tekton, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions, to streamline the software delivery process in event-sourced applications
  • Experience building APIs to share data and calling APIs within applications or software
  • Experience building data science and AI or ML solutions that support operational business and mission use cases
  • Experience with event-driven architectures
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience deploying and managing data brokering solutions, including Kafka, Red Panda, and Confluent
  • Experience with client engagements, client-facing project work, and business development
  • Experience with data engineering and data workflows using cloud-native solutions or tools, including Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect
  • Knowledge of Databricks, PyTorch, Tensorflow, and Langchain
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with rapidly evolving requirements
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
