Job Summary

Huawei R&D UK is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AI Strategy Consultant to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is both creative and detail-oriented, with the ability to develop and implement innovative strategies that drive value from data and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AI principles, technologies, and trends. In addition to technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of executing successful AI strategies and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Insights: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of AI, identify advanced promptly convey them to the headquarters to drive the initiation of technical projects.
  • Technical Charter: Identify new opportunities and gaps within the company, lead or participate in the initiation of major technical or large-scale application projects, define clear objectives, analyze feasibility, and achieve a leading position in technical competitiveness.
  • AI SP/BP Planning: Develop globally leading technological competitiveness in the field of AI.
  • Collaborative and Networking: Plan the technical layout in the AI field, establish connections with collaborative companies/authorities, and transform uncertain technologies into quantifiable collaborations.

    • Required:
    1. Strong learning ability, capable of quickly acquiring new knowledge and skills. A master's or doctoral degree in AI or related background, with certain knowledge or skills in one or more fields such as AI theory/CV/NLP/decision reasoning.
    2. Strong planning skills, capable of handling tasks such as technical insights, technical planning, business planning, or strategic planning.
    3. Strong comprehensive abilities, including self-motivation, networking skills, teamwork capabilities, etc.
    4. Strong communication skills, capable of actively engaging and networking with academia and industry.
    • Desired:
    1. PhD in a relevant field.
    2. Experience as a technological strategy consultant.
    3. Chinese speaking.
