DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Vancouver!

Role Summary:

As the Project Manager at TransPerfect DataForce, you will be responsible for the operational success of our teams across various locations. Your role is critical in promoting seamless collaboration, driving process improvements, ensuring long-term program sustainability, and tracking and evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at an account-wide level.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Establish operational benchmarks, timelines, KPIs, and resources needed to achieve strategic goals, proactively recommending and driving improvements as necessary.
  • Team Management: Hold line management responsibility, ensuring the team is at optimum performance, fully utilized, and receives constructive feedback while taking care of their well-being.
  • Performance Monitoring: Take ownership of project-level performance accounts and improvements, utilizing internal dashboards and client KPI analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Read, analyze, and track data using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Client Communication: Set achievable service and delivery expectations with clients, ensuring they are fulfilled, and satisfaction levels consistently tracked and maintained.
  • Strategic Planning: Support strategic planning and strategy implementation to enhance customer satisfaction, consistent quality delivery, process efficiency, and increased profitability.
  • Process Improvement: Engage with internal teams to design and implement new initiatives aimed at driving process improvement, quality procedures, and efficient workflow models.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish, strengthen, and expand client relationships while supporting the development of new business opportunities and overall profitable revenue growth.
  • Industry Expertise: Educate and inform client contacts regarding the annotation, labeling, and data collection process and best industry practices in the AI sector.
  • Sales Support: Identify gaps and trends to assist the Sales and/or Client Service team in maximizing revenue potential through the expansion and/or diversification of services and solutions.
  • Support for Local Coordinators: Understand the responsibilities of Local Coordinators (LCs) and provide support for any on-site job needs.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete any other tasks deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience managing AI/ML data-related projects, including speech, text, and computer vision data collection, curation, and annotation.
  • Proficiency in using platforms/systems/tools and techniques to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to ensure successful project completion.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and implement effective solutions.
  • Competency in using business applications and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Google Workspace.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of full-time work experience in client services.
  • Program Manager/Project Manager experience.
  • English language fluency.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in the AI sector related to training data, such as data collection, labeling, or transcription.
  • Ability to track, analyze, and report issues effectively.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
