Job Description

For one of our clients we are looking for a AI Governance Lead

Start: September 2024
Duration: Till end of 2024, extensions possible
Location: remote
Capacity: flexible (full-time and part time both possible)

Role:
The AI Governance Lead is responsible for establishing and overseeing the framework that ensures the ethical, compliant, and secure development and deployment of AI systems within the organization. This role involves developing policies, standards, and procedures to govern AI initiatives, monitoring compliance, managing risks, and ensuring that AI practices align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The AI Governance Lead collaborates with various stakeholders, including legal, compliance, IT, and business units, to promote responsible AI usage and mitigate potential risks.

Skills:

  • Ethical and Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI ethics, data privacy laws, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, etc.).
  • Policy Development: Expertise in creating and implementing governance frameworks, policies, and standards for AI.
  • Risk Management: Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with AI systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage and communicate with diverse stakeholders, including legal, compliance, IT, and business teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze complex issues and make informed decisions regarding AI governance.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and project management skills to drive governance initiatives and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of AI technologies, speicifcally GenAI technologies and the applications of LLMs to effectively oversee governance practices.
  • Experience in expressing and storing the policies as code or implementation in 3rd party vendor data governance software.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, specifically GenAI technologies and the applications of LLMs
  • Expertise in creating and implementing governance frameworks, policies, and standards for AI.
  • Deep understanding of AI ethics, data privacy laws, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of EU AI Act
  • English fluent, German is a plus
