About the role

We're thrilled to introduce a brand-new role within our Data Governance Team at our Naas offices!

As a Data and AI Governance Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures to uphold data integrity, ensure compliance, and enhance availability—critical elements for powering data-driven products and AI applications.

Kerry operates a Hybrid working policy, candidates will be required to work from our offices in Naas each week.

What will I be doing?

The Data and AI Governance Analyst will drive enterprise-wide data governance efforts, ensuring effective data management, quality, and compliance within the Kerry Group. This role focuses on establishing data standards, policies, and procedures to maintain integrity, availability, and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate brings expertise in data governance principles, management, regulatory requirements, and relevant tools.

• Participate in the development and support of data and AI governance program strategies, roadmaps, and project plans.
• Develop and implement data standards, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure data integrity, compliance, and availability.
• Collaborate with data owners, data stewards and IT teams to implement and enforce the data governance framework.
• Provide support for data governance initiatives, such as data cataloguing, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
• Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop metrics and dashboards for data quality.
• Conduct AI impact assessments for new and existing AI tools and applications.
• Stay informed about data protection laws and regulations, ensuring data governance policies comply with relevant regulations.
• Educate employees on data governance best practices and principles.
• Maintain and manage user access within Unity Catalog to ensure that data access permissions are up-to-date and aligned with organizational policies.

What do I need to be successful?

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, Information Technology).
• Proven experience in enterprise-wide data governance, data management, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and data management best practices.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies for data governance and quality management.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and dynamic environment.
