Zurich Insurance is seeking highly skilled individuals like you to join our Global AI Governance Team to drive cutting-edge responsible AI innovation. You will play a crucial role in governing AI solutions along the full insurance value chain and drive the technical operationalization of our AI Governance Framework to inspire digital trust. As an AI Governance Architect, you will be responsible for optimizing our internal Responsible AI tools and systems on a technical and process design level, to ensure that Zurich’s approach to AI Governance is promoting responsible and sustainable AI innovation in an intuitive and user-friendly way.  

Your role 

As an AI Governance Architect / Technical Lead, your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Driving the operationalization of Zurich’s AI Governance Framework by (i) optimizing its technical integration into the existing IT architecture, and (ii) evaluating and integrating external Responsible AI solutions to maintain and optimize our internally developed Responsible AI Platform and existing tools, interfaces and processes in an intuitive way 
  • Dynamically adjusting and updating AI governance / GenAI controls and guardrails, including their integration into tools, systems and platforms to drive automation and insights. 
  • Assessing and mitigating risks, such as unfair bias, in AI algorithms and models, including LLM-based / GenAI solutions, along the insurance value chain 
  • Collaborating closely with data scientists, computer scientists, ML engineers, architects and stakeholders from the business and assurance functions (risk/model risk, legal/privacy, compliance) to drive responsible AI consistently across the organization 
  • Fostering collaboration with highly diverse, cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with governance requirements, including audits (internal and external perspective), and market expectations (investor and customer perspective) 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technological advancements in AI / GenAI

Your Skills and Experience

As an AI Governance Architect / Technical Lead, your skills and experience will ideally include:

 

  • 4+ years of experience in technology & operations, business analysis and sound understanding of AI/ML and data analytics, data & AI governance, IT and governance of emerging digital technologies. 
  • Data science / computer science background and/or business analyst capabilities, including an understanding of MLOps 
  • Data visualization capabilities (e.g., PowerBI & PowerApps) to support and design technical solutions, provide for maintenance and compliance  
  • Self-starter mindset with a can do-attitude, hands-on and solution-oriented delivery 
  • Excellent project management skills and a genuine interest for Responsible AI & digital sustainability, including sensitivity for AI-related privacy challenges, international data & digital regulatory developments 
  • Strong communication skills, integrated thinking across businesses to work effectively with cross-functional teams and a variety of different stakeholders across the global organization 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
