Job Description

As an AI Data Engineer (Expert), you will serve as a technical person in data engineering, specializing in designing, developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, ETL processes and workflows specifically for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) use cases. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data engineering to shape and evolve data architecture, ensuring scalability, performance and data quality across AI-driven projects.

Your responsibilities will include designing optimized ETL processes, handling both structured and unstructured data, and creating feature pipelines that support batch and real-time model training and inference. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, data analysts, data architects and solution architects to align on requirements, provide mentorship, and contribute to best practices in AI data workflows or pipelines. Your contributions will be instrumental in delivery of data assets for Globe leveraging on data frameworks, data governance, lineage, versioning and compliance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The duties and responsibilities of this position will include but will not be limited to the following:

• Design and implementation of simple to complex data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and high-performance data solutions.

• Ensure data quality,lineage,  integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other data engineers.

• Stay at the forefront of data engineering best practices and emerging technologies.

• Drive the adoption and integration of specialized AI data tools (e.g. feature stores, vector databases) to enhance the data pipelines and ML lifecycle from data ingestion to inference.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of Statistics, Math, IT, Computer Science, Engineering

• At least 3 years of experience in IT, data architecture / management, data science 

• Professional experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) is a must

• Ability to connect Business requirements and needs to the Technology roadmap
