AI and ML Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer to join a team dedicated to rapidly building, testing, and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions. Our team is looking for a hands-on subject matter expert with all processes related to data, including scraping, cleaning, processing, and governance. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp on the differences between various ML algorithms and frameworks, as well as when to select and apply the best ML approach given a set of constraints. This candidate should also have extensive experience building sophisticated data and modeling pipelines in a client-facing environment. The ideal candidate also has experience leveraging MLOps tools to deploy, maintain, and monitor AI solutions across a variety of client spaces.

You Have: 

  • 7+ years of experience with AI and ML applications, including computer vision, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and reinforcement learning

  • Experience with MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and integrating models into larger systems

  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, R, Java, or C++

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn

  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • DHS Suitability

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience architecting and deploying generative AI solutions, such as large language models (LLMs)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions

  • Experience with model serving solutions, such as AWS SageMaker, KServe, or Seldon Core

  • Experience with infrastructure as code technologies, including Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
