2025 Guardian Life Summer Intern, Data Science
Our 2025 Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian.
You’ll join our Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, whose mission is to be trusted partners who continuously enable valuable and scalable customer solutions. Guided by our purpose to inspire well-being, they are the connectors and enablers who use data & analytics to help leaders make decisions that benefit our colleagues, consumers, and communities. Internship Dates:
The internship program will run from Monday, June 2, 2025- Friday, August 8, 2025.

You are:
A prospective student in a Master’s or PhD program related to Data Science who is motivated by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

You have:
A background in statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics
Experience in one or more ML algorithms (GBM, Random Forest, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, kNN)
Ability write and develop models in Python and PySpark
Good verbal and written communication skills with attention to details
You will:

Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
