15 Well-Known Companies Offering Hybrid Work This Year
For most organizations, going fully remote just isn’t an option or it’s a policy they would prefer to ease into (if it’s being considered at all). Each company is different, which is also why the emergence of hybrid work has become so popular.
In fact, it seems more and more organizations have now created more remote work policies, whether to provide flexible work from home days or have a mix of employees in-office and remote.
The hybrid work model is taking over more well-established organizations, which gives remote work advocates more options for their careers.
I'm even surprised at some of the companies that have been providing a healthy mix of remote work options. It’s exciting to see and also, I like to say here: “It’s about time!”
Let’s take a look at what it means to offer hybrid work vs fully remote and examples of well-known companies that focus on the hybrid work model.
Fully Remote Vs. Hybrid Companies
Fully remote companies are organizations where all employees are working virtually and have no physical office locations. Where hybrid companies typically offer various options for their employees; like a few days a week remote or a mix of jobs that are in-office or work from home.
Hybrid work has steadily been rising over the years, but when the pandemic in 2020 struck, more organizations were able to quickly adopt this model.
The reason hybrid work is more common than fully remote companies is that it’s easier to get started, less infrastructure needed, and still encourages some of the traditional office settings.
And not everyone wants to work fully remotely. And more importantly, not all organizations can be structured in a way that would support 100% remote work either.
In a recent Remote Work & Compensation Pulse Survey, 48% expressed a desire to be fully remote and 44% of employees favored hybrid working. And among employers from the survey, 51% support the hybrid work model, while only 5% mention fully remote work as a possibility.

Many of these large organizations that have chosen a hybrid model may decide to switch back to in-office. But since the pandemic, most have decided to permanently keep a combination of flexible work for all.
