About this role:
The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
Within TCOO, the Fraud and Claims Technology team is seeking a Director of Fraud and Claims Generative AI, Innovation and Strategy. The ideal leader will actively drive high-visibility, modern technology capabilities while mentoring and guiding a high performing team of engineers. This role demands a deep understanding of GenAI technologies, leadership acumen, and a passion for driving innovation. This position will lead the delivery of core fraud technology capabilities, Large Language Models (LLM) and GenAI innovation strategies, as well as the innovation and modernization of the technology estate. You need to be a visionary and driving force behind our GenAI strategy, technology roadmap, and implementation partnering with the business on fraud strategies, leading engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced Fraud technology and GenAI capabilities.
In this role, you will:
Drive and influence the technology strategy and multi-year roadmap for core engineering functions, technology modernization and GenAI strategy
Partner with key business partners and product leaders to ensure close alignment with business objectives, ensure high-quality software development and deployment
Lead engineering teams in the design, development, and deployment GenAI applications using LLM's, agents, agentic framework, and other related technologies
Collaborate with enterprise teams to integrate LLM models with the existing Fraud and Claims Management (FCM) products and systems
Lead the design and development of scalable Gen AI applications, ensuring high performance, accuracy and reliability
Define engineering benchmarks and performance measurements
Advance the transformation and innovation of Fraud technology applying the latest advancements in AI, LLM, agentic frameworks, etc. to improve existing systems and/or develop new ones
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
Translate advanced technology experience, applying in-depth knowledge of the organization’s tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
Lead investment planning and associated capacity demand and costs
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, developing their skills, competencies, and orientation towards new ways of working, while ensuring strong delivery
Identify financial management and strategic resourcing and develop strategies for building/retaining high-performing teams
Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
7+ years of experience in software development
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
8+ years of AI concepts, including deep learning, natural language processing and computer vision
7+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude
Knowledge and expertise of fraud management tools and techniques
Strong expertise or background in foundational model capabilities from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, or Google incl. building agentic systems through usage of MCP is preferred
Strong expertise in core AI topics such as deep learning (DL), reinforcement learning (RL), planning, information representation and retrieval, graphs, multiagent systems (MAS), and natural language processing (NLP)
Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intent
Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
Experience with Agile transformations
Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Change Management procedures and tools

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
