ServiceNow is looking for a Senior Director of AI Ethics and Data Governance, a highly visible and critical role with the responsibility of spearheading the strategic evolution and operationalization of data governance and AI ethics capabilities across the company.
As a key influencer in this leadership role, you will be able to build a unique and world class career at ServiceNow, play a critical role in shaping ServiceNow’s AI Ethics and data governance strategy, ensuring the responsible use of our vast data assets, and governing AI efforts across the company while enabling innovation at scale. You will have the opportunity to partner with senior leaders across diverse business functions for operationalizing AI ethics and data governance policies, standards, and practices.
What you get to do in this role:
· Provide Strategic counsel on Data Governance and AI Governance Models
· Advice the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer on matters regarding AI & Data Ethics.
· Lead a high-performing team of data governance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement.
· Evolve data governance strategy to align with ServiceNow's business objectives and data ethics principles.
· Collaborate with strategic partners across ServiceNow to understand and advocate for AI Governance, Ethics and Responsibility.to build user trust and ensure compliance with global regulations.
· Foster a culture of data responsibility and compliance within ServiceNow by promoting data literacy and awareness of data governance principles across all levels.
· Champion innovation in data governance practices, identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions to address emerging data challenges at the enterprise level.
· Offer thought-leadership both internally and externally on data governance best practices and responsible AI principles.
To be successful in this role you have:
· Minimum 15 years of experience in a legal position focusing on data governance, data management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in leading and scaling data governance programs within complex and large-scale environments OR advanced degree in a related field with 10+ years’ experience.
· Extensive experience designing and implementing governance frameworks.
· Strong understanding of the data ecosystem, including data architectures, infrastructure, governance frameworks, warehousing concepts, quality management, and stewardship practices.
· Proven ability to translate this knowledge into actionable, enterprise-wide data governance strategies that integrate data ethics principles.
· Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing adaptable and effective data governance frameworks for large, global organizations.
· Expertise in navigating the evolving AI regulatory landscape to develop and implement compliant data governance practices and mitigate risk.
· Proven expertise in developing solutions to enterprise data governance challenges, such as master data management (MDM), data lake governance, and data mesh implementation.
· Exceptional critical thinking and problem management abilities, strong business acumen and excellent business judgment; must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and pivot between responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
· The ability to distill complex issues clearly and communicate well both one-on-one and in groups, and in internal and external contexts.
