The AI Governance Lead is responsible for AI policy, standards & procedures content, AI process, risks and controls management and implementing related training activities across the enterprise, while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations. The position partners with various business and technology stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of related Artificial Intelligence policies, standards, process, risks and control frameworks. The role evaluates established and emerging AI practices and technologies to drive the team's direction, while implementing innovative processes and solutions to provide competitive advantage while meeting rigorous control and oversight mandates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Serve as resident content owner for policies, standards and procedures in support of enterprise Artificial Intelligence Governance. Create and implement processes, procedures, training to support standards and control frameworks.
2. Provide subject matter expertise in the definition of AI Processes and related process maps, identification of AI risks and implementation of controls
3. Collaborate closely with GCO, Risk and peer teams to ensure process, risks, controls are mapped and logged into system of record.
4. Participate in controls evaluation and risks and controls self-assessments activities, as required.
5. Provide recommendations for AI specific taxonomy structure
6. Identify issues and work with technology, risk and business partners to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and remediate the issues to closure.
7. Support the production of metrics and measures to track progress and adherence, escalating as needed to various committees for visibility and program accountability.
8. Understand and integrate relevant regulations and industry trends into work plans, exploring emerging frameworks and assessing feasibility using proof of concepts.
9. Collaborate closely with peer teams to ensure coordination, synergy and seamless overall execution.
10. Champion and drive improvement in Enterprise AI Governance and management practices throughout the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor's degree in related field

2.    Eight years of financial services experience in roles with increasing responsibilities in technology, artificial intelligence/machine learning, governance, risk or related practice or equivalent education and related training or experience

Preferred Qualifications:1. Master’s degree or other graduate or advanced-level certification in Artificial Intelligence
2. Large program strategic planning/execution across multiple functions
3. History of effective performance within shared service, matrix or federated environments
4. Internal or external consulting experience
5. Experience with formalized organizational assessment practices (e.g. Capability Maturity Model), including implementation of recommended improvements
6. Knowledge of machine learning tools and platforms (like Bedrock, Sagemaker) used or relevant certifications.
