To drive velocity and efficiency, Illuminate provides single-threaded ownership of AI product strategy and technical direction, while actively partnering with key P&T and GTM teams for alignment and execution at scale.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Principal Product Manager to join our Outbound Product team for Illuminate. As we look across AI and agentic development happening all across our Finance and HR ecosystem, our outbound team will interface directly with customers, marketing, sales, CX and more drive awareness of our Illuminate AI efforts, create scalable methods to bring insights back to the product development teams, and craft strategy for the road head. This role will be specifically responsible for supporting our partner strategy for Illuminate as a part of our go to market strategy. The successful candidate will be an expert product manager with experience working directly with partners in the past and with proven skills in product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large partner portfolio to support Workday’s Illuminate goals - building partner relationships, enabling our partner ecosystem, and selecting strategic partners to bolster our new Illuminate Agent System of Record and complement our Workday native Agents.

  • Bring our shared story of success alongside our partners to the market

  • Spend time with customers validating our solutions, doing discovery work and ensuring we are prioritizing the right customer problems as you foster a strong customer community

  • Be the product champion externally, and passionate voice of the customer internally

  • Lead through influence and apply strategic understanding of the company's big picture, articulating a compelling vision for AI agents and their role in redefining our customers' workdays.

  • Collaborate with product development teams in flight to validate value for customers, drive adoption, and enable the field, CX, implementers on our AI work

  • Influence our go to market approach with evolving market, partner, and customer feedback

  • Participate in customer-facing situations and user conferences as a product expert

  • Support our partner ecosystem as they go on the AI journey alongside Workday

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 9+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience

  • 7+ years of product owner experience or working closely with product managers to translate customer and market needs into product and release support through the entire product life cycle


Other Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with partners and managing partnerships

  • Ability to operate successfully across multiple functions, influence senior executives and peers alike, and mediate across various partners

  • Track record of taking products from inception to delivery

  • Able to communicate effectively to different audience levels from individual users and partners to a room of executives.

  • Understanding of how products, tools, and frameworks are connected and how best to use them.

  • Serve as the gateway/connector to other teams in the company with a high amount of trust.

  • Champions innovation - how to do things that will differentiate Workday in the market.

  • Has led special projects that span organizations - apps, tools, partners.

  • A product person at heart (passion for innovation & AI a bonus)
