Position Details
EY’s GDS Assurance Digital team’s mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our audit clients and engagement teams.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an AI Governance and Policy Specialist / AI & Data Ethics Governance Manager. This role is essential to ensuring that our organization's AI and data practices adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with applicable regulations and policies.
Requirements (including experience, skills and additional qualifications)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Law, or a combination of technology and law.
8 - 10 years of relevant experience.
Technical skills requirements:
- Strong Understanding of Ethical Considerations: Deep understanding of ethical considerations and potential risks associated with AI.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant AI regulations and compliance requirements across major jurisdictions.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data science and/or machine learning, Generative AI concepts is a must.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement AI Governance Frameworks: Create comprehensive AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI use.
- Product AI Certifications: Lead and obtain internal AI certifications for in-house AI products
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on the latest AI regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring product adherence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineers, data scientists, product managers) to integrate AI governance principles into project development and deployment.
- Training and Workshops: Conduct training and workshops to educate employees on AI governance best practices.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Monitor and audit compliance of products with AI policies and procedures.
- Metrics Development: Develop and implement metrics to track and measure the effectiveness of AI governance initiatives.
- External Partnerships: Partner with external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, industry groups) on AI governance topics.
- Communication: Communicate complex AI governance issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ethical Development: Champion the ethical development and implementation of AI models, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of continuous learning and awareness around AI regulations and compliance within the organization.
