ResponsibilitiesAbout the Team:ByteDance's AI Product Counseling team provides front-line legal support to the company's AI products and services. The team is growing fast and seeking experienced, bright, and capable product counseling professionals to join us. The role will be an integral resource for ByteDance's AI product and business teams by reviewing new applications, features, functionalities and initiatives and providing guidance, from the global perspective, related to legal rights implications and risk mitigation strategies.This role will be based in Singapore. Responsibilities:- Providing daily legal support for the business department of AI models, new products, product features， operations, business cooperation, marketing activities, etc., and being able to independently handle common legal issues.- Collaborating with the Company's internal AI expert legal teams, cross-functional teams, and tailoring daily legal assessments.- Drafting and negotiating contracts and reviewing licensing and data usage agreements.- Stay informed of the evolving global AI laws and regulations, ensure the day to day legal assessments comply with these laws and regulations.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications- At least 4 years of practicing law in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is located.- Passionate about tech issues, has a strong willing to learn technical knowledge (such as Machine Learning, AI Agent Platform, AI Coding).- Possess rigorous logical thinking and legal research ability.- Proficiency with Mandarin (fluent reading & speaking ability), as the role is required to read documents in Mandarin, and work significantly with business teams based in China.Preferred Qualifications- Strong collaboration, documentation, presentation, and communication skills.- In-house experience in an international organization.- Experience in advising on laws related to IP, privacy, consumer protection, minor safety, platform liability.#LI-HybridJob InformationAbout UsFounded in 2012, ByteDance's mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.
