Founded at Stanford University, Walaris develops autonomous AI-based solutions focused on enhancing situational awareness. Our AirScout software platform uses artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and edge computing to detect, classify, and track unwanted drones in protected airspace. Our cutting-edge technology is utilized by commercial, government, and military users to increase airspace awareness in and around sensitive locations.

At Walaris, the collection of training data is a key step to the development and improvement of our AirScout solution. The use of data from a variety of environments and situations ensures the proper training of the Walaris AI and provides a high level of object detection. Working Students in data collection work in close collaboration with the Software Development team.

For our office in Zagreb, we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) in AI / Data Collection starting as soon as possible. The engagement of the Working Student will be via Student Service and in line with the Law on Performing Students’ Jobs (OG 96/18, 16/20) (Zakon o obavljanju studentskih poslova). Anticipated duration of the engagement is 3 months.

Requirements

• You are responsible for the collection of camera footage from various objects at night, as from cars, airplanes, and drones
• You guarantee the creation of high-quality videos and image datasets for our data training and data validation
• You have the chance to work on a varied range of activities, from planning scenarios, to recording and processing of videos
• You ensure the correct technical documentation for our AI research projects
• You are responsible for synthetic data generation using Generative AI models

Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled as a student in a bachelor’s or master's degree
• You have some experience with network configuration and in working with cameras and laptops
• You have a passion for working into new technical topics
• You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and you are fluent in English
• You have a driver's license
• You are registered as a Working Student with Student Service in accordance with the Law on Performing Students Works
