What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a visionary VP of Finance to lead Hyro's global financial operations and strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this critical leadership role will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring fiscal health and supporting our rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading finance teams within SaaS or enterprise companies experiencing high growth. They will excel at optimizing processes, driving performance, and collaborating closely with the executive team to align financial strategies with company goals, ensure compliance, and enable data-driven business decisions.

The VP of Finance will work closely with the executive team to prepare the annual budget, financial reporting, auditing, and reviews, while playing a key role in guiding Hyro’s financial success during this exciting phase of rapid growth.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead and manage Hyro’s finance team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support scalability and growth.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team and board.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS), and tax requirements in both the US and Israel.
  • Optimize financial systems and tools, driving efficiency and accuracy across all financial operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • High involvement in fundraising, Board of Directors, and investor relations efforts, including financial modeling and due diligence processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with CPA certification or equivalent, and a background in auditing at one of the Big Four accounting firms.
  • 7+ years of financial management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, with proven experience in SaaS or enterprise companies. Particularly during periods of high growth or scaling.
  • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles (US GAAP/IFRS), with regulatory compliance experience in both the US and Israel.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment like startups.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture while optimizing processes and driving performance.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with excellent English communication (written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Salesforce is an advantage.
