Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Videographer to join our marketing team. The role will be in office based in Palo Alto. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through visual media and possess the technical skills to capture, edit, and produce high-quality video content for various platforms - formal, informal, long and short form. This role involves collaborating with several internal and external teams, planning shoots, and ensuring that the final product meets our brand’s vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Production:

    • Capture high-quality footage using professional video equipment.

    • Plan and execute shoots, including setting up lighting, audio, and camera angles.

    • Direct on-camera talent and coordinate with production teams during filming.

    • Work also includes creating and editing audio files only.

  • Editing & Post-Production:

    • Edit raw footage into polished final videos using industry-standard software.

    • Integrate graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance visual storytelling.

    • Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to brand guidelines and deadlines.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with creative directors, producers, and other team members to conceptualize and storyboard video projects.

    • Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor video content for social media, websites, and other platforms.

    • Participate in creative meetings to contribute innovative ideas and improve production processes.

  • Project Management:

    • Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

    • Communicate progress and challenges with relevant stakeholders.

    • Maintain an organized library of video assets and project files.

    • Proactively seek content and work with internal and external parties.

  • Equipment & Maintenance:

    • Operate and maintain video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices.

    • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience & Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field preferred.

    • Proven experience as a videographer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).

    • Knowledge of shooting techniques, lighting, and sound recording.

    • Familiarity with digital camera operations and video equipment maintenance.

    • Shooting appropriate video and audio content for different channels - long, short, formal, informal

  • Soft Skills:

    • Creative eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to work well both independently and with others, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

    • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic production environments.
