Inspects and maintains Civil/Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with codes and identify hazards or defects. Diagnoses malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components, utilizing test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct breakdown causes. Performs management duties such as record-keeping, and report preparation, and handles Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) documentation, they also order supplies and equipment from the Facilities Management Department stores.

  • Inspects and maintains Civil/Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem Skills and ability related to the specific title.
  • Performs management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) documentation and ordering supplies and equipment with Facilities Management Department stores.
  • Handles tasks effectively in extreme weather conditions
  • Works from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Assists with emergencies by operating floodlights and generators and related emergency activities
  • Executes on-call repairs of any mishaps and should think out of the box for a feasible solution and most importantly should show eagerness and willingness to teach and learn.
  • Implements Sustainable Practices/Policies in Facilities Management operations.
  • Industrial Training Certificate

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Healthcare Organization’s maintenance department or similar institution
  • Knowledge of trade training on a wide range of cross-trade activities
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standard
  • Skills in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings
