Job Title
Thesis- or Master Thesis - Machine Learning Audio Analytics for Proactive Issue Detection
Job Description
Category
Artificial Intelligence, Audio Signal Processing
Scope
2 students completing a master's or bachelor's thesis
Background
At New Business (NB) Audio, we strive to deliver high-quality audio solutions. We seek to investigate and develop a predictive analytics system, capable of analyzing audio data to identify potential audio related issues between our Axis OS versions that can have an impact on sound quality degradation. This project focuses on designing and implementing such a system using machine learning techniques.
Goal
- Design and develop a machine learning-based system to analyze audio samples and predict potential audio issues.
- We currently use a range of streaming protocols e.g. SIP and RTP, in our voice and audio communication systems. Our goal is to measure data packet delays between Axis OS and connected devices to identify trends and patterns in communication performance.
Objectives
- Collect and preprocess audio samples.
- Analyze audio recordings to identify and detect present audio artifacts, evaluating their impact on overall sound quality.
- Develop and train a machine learning model to predict potential audio issues using the collected data.
Expected Outcomes
- A functional predictive analytics system that can forecast potential audio issues.
- Insights into delay trends across various communication protocols, such as SIP and RTP/RTSP, and their impact on audio quality.
- Recommendations for improving sound quality based on industry standard comparisons.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python.
- Familiarity with audio signal processing techniques and tools (e.g., FFT, spectrograms).
