Winter Semester 2025/26 - limited to 5-6 months

YOUR TASKS:

  • Research existing AI algorithms for image-based object detection and classification.
  • Analyze and evaluate these algorithms for their suitability with a high-resolution 3D-ToF camera.
  • Select an appropriate external target hardware for algorithmic image processing.
  • Define requirements and establish key criteria for system integration.
  • Develop a prototype for 3D-supported object recognition and integrate it into the target hardware.
  • Test functionality in the lab environment based on defined key parameters.


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Basic knowledge in developing and applying AI algorithms, ideally in image-based object detection.
  • Experience in programming with Python, C++, or a comparable language.
  • Interest in 3D image processing technologies and ToF cameras.
  • Independent, structured working style and analytical thinking skills.
