1. CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION
The European Investment Bank is the lending arm of the European Union. We are one of the biggest multilateral financial institutions in the world and one of the largest providers of climate finance.
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
The test engineer ensures high-quality software delivery by planning, implementing, and automating quality assurance testing.
Responsibilities include developing test plans, creating test cases, writingtest automation code, and reporting results.
3. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Mandatory requirements:
Minimum 4-5 years of quality assurance testing
Proficiency in English (B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for
Languages or equivalent).
Requirements that could be set either as mandatory or as advantageous depending on the EIB needs, on a case-by-case basis, for each specific AToR:
Experience in financial services institutions, insurance undertaking or equivalent institution.
University degree (M.Sc.) degree or equivalent applied experience.
Software development experience.
Proficiency in JavaEE, JavaScript, Python and SQL.
Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, XRay, Qtest, Quality Center).
Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, Katalon,
Cypress, Puppeteer, Playwright).
Experience designing and implementing test plans.
Experience with functional testing and writing test automation scripts.
Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools.
Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects.
Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools (e.g.,
Jira).
Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
