As a Technician Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of our technicians. You will lead our team of technicians, oversee daily operations, time management of technicians, and ensure the technicians perform at a high level. Your ability to keep the team efficient, organized, and high-performing will be crucial to supporting Kodiak’s mission to revolutionize autonomous trucking.
In this role, you will:
Lead & Supervise – Own your work, jump in where needed and provide direction and support to our team of technicians, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards
Oversee Daily Operations – Manage workflows, assign tasks, and ensure all maintenance, repairs, and servicing are completed on time
Project Management – Keep track of the fleet, prototype builds, and test requests - ensuring we have everything needed to keep the team running smoothly
Ensure Safety & Compliance – Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant shop environment by enforcing policies and procedures
Optimize Efficiency – Continuously improve technician processes to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
Cross Functionality – Work closely with multiple engineering teams to facilitate building and testing prototypes
What you'll bring:
Leadership & Experience – You have 7+ years of experience in an engineering/technician department, with a proven track record of leading teams
Preferably autonomous vehicle or electrical vehicle experience.
Technical Know-How – Experience working in the trucking, logistics, or automotive industries is a huge plus
Problem-Solving Mindset – You excel at troubleshooting challenges and finding creative solutions to keep operations running smoothly
Organizational Skills – You know how to prioritize tasks, manage inventory, and streamline workflows efficiently
Strong Communication – You can effectively communicate with technicians, leadership, and external vendors
Commitment to Safety – You ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

The annual salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$140,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual salary ranges will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
