Join Technical Writer Team!

Our Team produces and updates documentation about the hardware and software we use for building Akamai's solutions. We work closely with subject matter experts as well as technical experts across the Akamai Engineering community.

In this role, you will have proven success in highly technical areas such as software development, computer science, or engineering. The ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a drive to help people understand it are also important.

As a Technical Writer II, you will be responsible for:

• Working cross-functionally to research, plan, write, and publish technical documentation
• Gathering information from a variety of technical and non-technical SMEs
• Developing, organizing, and writing procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
• Preparing source files for edit, SME review, and publication according to department procedures which includes Agile methodology
• Gaining deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate 2-3 years of experience in Technical Writing field
• Have experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
• Have experience in working with engineers to improve user experience
• Present knowledge of HTML and CSS
