The Program management Team is on a mission to build and operate the world's most performant, efficient, and reliable planetary-scale platform. You will join a team of Technical program managers that lead complex technical programs that advance Akamai's Cloud Computing Technology.

Our Cloud Storage Technical Program Management (TPM) team partners cross-functionally to drive key programs within Cloud Storage products and critical infrastructure that supports them.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

  • Guiding cross-functional teams in formulating and executing plans, including engineering planning, risk assessment, dependencies.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks arising from technical issues like integration, architecture dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrating skills in communicating program and project statuses to all levels of the organization, from technical teams to executive stakeholders.
  • Ensuring clarity, building relationships with stakeholders, embracing agility, and collaboratively designing solutions to meet business objectives
  • Supporting the product and engineering teams, managing backlogs and resolving issues.
  • Adopting best-practice guide.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess 5+ of relevant program management experience overseeing complex, enterprise technical initiatives.
  • Show experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments and understanding the software development lifecycle.
  • Have experience maintaining project plans, identifing dependencies, and managing milestone statuses with real-time updates.
  • Be comfortable navigating ambiguity, handling risks, and shifting gears as needed
  • Demonstrate interpersonal and organisational skills while communicating effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Have experience utilising JIRA, Confluence, Agile, and Traditional PMI methodologies for programme management and process execution.
