Lila Sciences is an early stage seed company at the forefront of AI/ML research, and we’re looking for a Technical Product Manager who can help shape our emerging product vision. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and product development, ensuring our evolving machine learning (ML) technology stack not only meets our current experimental needs but also lays the groundwork for a transformative future product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy:

    • Define and drive the product roadmap for our ML initiatives, translating research insights into actionable product features and long-term milestones.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and validate product concepts in a research-driven environment, helping shape our evolving product offering.
  • Project Leadership:

    • Lead and manage early-stage ML projects, ensuring our technology stack is robust, scalable, and aligned with our strategic product goals.
    • Balance technical innovation with strategic product development to guide projects from initial concept through experimental validation.
  • Data Management & Validation:

    • Oversee data processes that underpin model training and product validation, ensuring the quality and relevance of data to support our product objectives.
    • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to establish performance metrics that drive both model accuracy and product reliability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex research outcomes into clear product requirements.
    • Facilitate regular communication, gathering feedback to iterate and refine our product development process.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Implement best practices for ML pipelines and data workflows that support rapid experimentation and efficient product iteration.
    • Identify potential challenges early and mitigate risks to maintain agile timelines and resource efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Develop detailed project plans, status reports, and comprehensive documentation to communicate the evolving product vision to internal teams and executive leadership.
    • Ensure transparency and alignment across the organization as our product takes shape.
  • Continuous Innovation:

    • Stay updated on trends and advancements in AI/ML and experimental design, recommending innovative enhancements to our product development strategy.
    • Advocate for a culture of experimentation that fuels groundbreaking yet viable product features.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies.
  • Proven experience in technical product management or project management within research-driven or early-stage environments.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks and data management tools, with a track record of translating complex research into strategic product initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable product roadmaps.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A proactive leader passionate about transforming research insights into tangible product value.
  • Skilled at managing both technical and operational aspects of early-stage product development, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Enthusiastic about emerging technologies and experienced in driving rapid experimentation and product iteration.
