Job Summary:

The Tech Lead/Sr. Tech Lead - Design Automation and AI will work as part of a Research and Development team to architect and support the development of software tools and methodologies that automate the design process of Actuation Technologies products. The Tech Lead/Sr. Tech Lead will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining software tools and methodologies that improve the efficiency and accuracy of the design process.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial products, as well as experience in AI technologies and their application to industrial automation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

• Design and implement software tools and methodologies to automate the design process
• Debug and fix software tools and methodologies to ensure they meet design requirements and function as expected 
• Develop and maintain documentation for software tools and methodologies
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design automation to continuously improve software tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to find opportunities for automation, and drive design automation projects to completion
• Provide technical support to internal and external collaborators as needed, including training, solving, and resolving technical issues
• Document and maintain technical specifications, project plans, and design files

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial products, preferred expertise in Engineered Products or custom design solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in industrial automation products
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, leading multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Hands-on Programming Skills – knowledge of statistical programming languages like Python/Julia, CAD languages like LISP (2-3 years minimum).
• Excellent Communication Skills to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience 
• Experience working with latest AI technologies. 
• Validated Experience as Data Analyst or Data Scientist. 
• Experience in RPA tools like Blue Prism.
• Specialization in CAD modelling would be an added advantage.
• Experience working in Solid Edge, Solid Works or CAD Software
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Phenomenal problem-solving proficiency and analytical mind
